Happiness

One more time
My book fair opened Monday with a grueling 13 hour day. The theme is centered around space, "blast off to reading", thus the spaceship that students could have their picture taken in. Everyone loved it !

Number fourteen
Beautiful baby Bethany arrived today. She weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 inches long. I forgot my camera so this iphone picture will have to suffice for tonight. More to come....

Volleyball -Winter Edition
Last Saturday Sam's parents were running in a marathon, and I got the pleasure of taking this cute girl to her volleyball game. She has a great serve combined with a wicked return!

Poetry and Popcorn
Today as a special treat for my fourth and fifth graders we had poetry and popcorn in the library. I pulled all of the poetry books off the shelf, put them on carts, and let students pick and choose their favorites to read with a friend--they also got to have popcorn. The AMC Willowbrook Theatre donated two huge bags of popcorn. I had done something similar in the spring with poetry and puzzles--another hit with children.

Severe Drought
Now- We are unable to water because of mandatory water rationing.
Then
Now- The pecan tree is dead.
Then- The tree was broken by a deer and I duct taped it back together.
