The Wishbone flower is really Torenia fournieri, and it loves hot humid weather which is perfect for Houston. Our Timberline neighbor Mrs. Pease, first introduced me to this plant. I would spend hours visiting with her as she taught me about plants, and the art of flower arranging. One summer Mrs. Pease, knowing my desire to have flowers of my own helped me establish a flower bed covered in Wishbone and Pink Pokadots.
I do remember Mrs. Pease. You were so fortunate to have known her and to have been the recipient of her kind and generous nature. How did I miss out? This flower is beautiful.....does it spread? I have never heard of Wishbone or Pink Pokadots.
