I think these black-eyed susan's look like little dancers in tutu's and tank tops.
These purple flowers of Lampasas County look like the Hollyhawks of Harris County. I am sure they must be in the same family.
These small yellow flowers dot the countryside.
This is the back of the house minus the large mesquite tree that died. When we bought the house the previous owners told us the tree would not live long and to be thinking about replacing it but I thought that would never happen--mesquite trees are native to this area, however the tree put on no leaves this spring. I will probably replace it with three smaller trees.
We are thinking about removing the screen and turning this space back into an open porch. What do you think?
